We are having some problems with the data on the report and/or possibly the Macola process that produces this.
What would produce the error message "Warning Distributions Do Not Equal Transaction Amount"

The second error is that the process is occasionally not averaging the cost of the item and just sort of skips over it.

We can find a pattern or reason for this. This is not a new problem for us, just one that has yet to be resolved.

This can be caused by duplicate transaction numbers, which in my mind is a bug in Macola. If you purge your IMTRXHST and IMDISFIL for old data, this should go away.

Are the items skipped by chance non-stocked? If so, the average isn't updated because you must have QOH in order for an average to be calculated. The avg cost derives from prior inventory value + cost of newly received goods / new QOH. If QOH is zero, it cannot be calculated.

We will revisit the purging process. The more we use Macola, the more single user maintenance we have to perform.

The items in questions are stocked items. We do a lot of non-stock transactions however.
