Inv. 3 forms 2 DB

I have 3 Forms and 2 DataBase's inv.db and addremove.db

1 form to add Items not already in the inv.db

2 forms to pull up the stock# and QTY in inv.db and eather add or remove qty from stock and my problem is how do I write in the Add form how to change the qty in the inv.db?

I know this is easy just cant for the life of me find the write code for this.

Attach to the "add" table and subtract from its quantity field.

Instead of doing the ansTbl.add(destTbl), you'd put something like:

invTbl.QTY = invTbl.QTY + addremove.QTY

ok did that but it has a connot combine object and property error, with .QTY

You might have to back up and punt and do it as a batch with a query.

so there is nothing I can Add to depart that will update the qty ? wouldnt think it would be this hard. Also when i have a Lookup how can I have it look up the qty on the lame line. like when i look up part xyz it also grabs the qty for that same item?
