intuity lx

I have a 8500 running cm3.1 with an ess in a remote location
we are installing in another location an 8300 LSP which will have a intuity lx attatched to it how will the lx work when in/out of LSP mode. I already have a cms connected ad this works fine when in ESS mode ,but the control for the additional LX confuses me.
