Intuity LX administration through LAN works fine, except MESSAGING ADMINISTRATION.

It shows CONNECTED TO 192.168.0.58 ssh ONLINE and shows window with [Login: craft asking for password]

when password is entered shows NOT CONNECTED OFFLINE and on screen
[Sorry, Could not connect: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied ("java.net.SocketPermission" "192.168.0.58:22" "connect, resolve")]

Added 192.168.0.58 and 192.168.0.58:22 to exception list on Java but nothing happens
I´m not sure if it´s a remote PC Java security issue or a Linux permission I should resolve.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Carlos

can you try the webpage with the sa or vm accounts?

I don't know to be honest. I suppose maybe your craft account isn't any good? Is it possible you have the wrong password for craft?

It's been a long time since I've logged into a LX, I can't remember if it automagically logs you into that terminal once you click it, or if you still need the password.

Reboot maybe...?

All login accounts are ok and verified, the problem in only on MESSAGING ADMINISTRATION remotely through LAN. We have tried Windows 8.1 and XP with no luck, sends the same message:"Sorry, Could not connect: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied ("java.net.SocketPermission" "192.168.0.58:22" "connect, resolve")]

Yes, it's a Java issue. This embedded admin only works with old java versions which are not updated to the latest versions. Any updates newer than about 3 or 4 years ago breaks this. Not sure if this is fixable other than running an old java version on an old PC. Alternatively, connect via telnet/ssh for admin.

Thanks. Haven't logged into an LX in ages. Now I know I can't expect my Win7/IE11 machine to be useful at opening a basic terminal on it. I hope I never have to log in to one again!

Using PuTTy (ssh/port 22) I´m able to login with vm....but what terminal type should I use?

If I use 4425 every character is written twice and even erasing characters I can´t administer and cannot use F1, F3
If I use 4410 I can write correctly and can change parameters but cannot use F1, F3

try Linux in putty and when asked for the terminal type in LX, pick Linux.

Sorry, didn´t catch it

Tried Putty:

-tsc: TERM=[4425]? > hostname%

-craft: TERM:[linux]? > "Access via this login is only available through the web, ADAP or console"

-vm: TERM:[linux]? > I can enter but cannot use Function keys

-sa: TERM:[linux]? > "Access via this login is only available through the web, ADAP or console
