I have a customer who has a legend with an Intuity. When going through the Intuity to program the Legend with spm, an error comes on the screen that says: Init: command is respawning too rapidly. Check for possible errors.

The error itself goes like this: id: SA" spm -c "/spm/spm319/usr/lib/uucp/uugetty -r -t60 tty00 2400"

As soon as this error comes up, the Intuity stops working (taking calls to voice mail) and I have to reboot. Once the Intuity boots back up, it works fine, so far, as long as I/ or the customer don't try to program through spm.

Treading very lightly on this one. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

All connections are ok as well, checked that.

Help me obie wan, you're my only hope.

Seen t before, and althuogh a nuissance to work through in programming, it never affect the operation of the VMS. It appears to be related to the com port used to link to the switch, but don't know how to get rid of it either. There is probably a patch from Avaya, but $omtime$ their $upport is a little $illy.

I had a similiar problem a few years ago with AVP connected to Legend. The problem went away after putting the PC and the Legend on the same electrical circuit. They were located in different rooms, so this required an electrician. You might be able to try an extension cord for a temp test. This may be a totally different problem, but the symptoms are almost identical. Good luck.
