Hello,

My company is considering going to Modular Messaging from Intuity Audix but there are a few problems before going so. MM offers email notifications & retrieval of voicemail from Exchange, but is it possible to have this feature disabled until it is needed & use the server itself to act like Audix, in the sense of it being a messaging system?

The reason for me asking this questions is because they are concerned it will take up additional space on the exchange server, which they are limited to.

Thanks,
ME

If you buy and install a MM for Exchange then the system must use the exchange server to store voicemails.

You can however install a MM with a MSS message store and that will not impact you exchange environment at all.

The messages will be stored in the Linux MSS. You would still be able to have a plugin for outlook to get voicemails in outlook or you can use the Web Client to do so.

The Web Client is not available in the Exchange version.

If you need someone to point out the differences give us a call.
