Intuity Audix Storing Voicemails

Just a basic question. I am not sure which version of Audix I am running, but does the technology exist to take a fax off of a user's voicemail messages and forward it to a fax machine to retrieve a misdirected fax?
I wouldn't think that the voicemail would be able to send the negotiating tones to complete the two way handshake. Somebody suggested this was possible, but I was unsure. Can someone chime in on this? Thanks!
