Hi, we currently have Intuity Audix 4.4 with 800 subscribers and we are looking at updating it. We may go to the 5.1 Intuity or Modular Messaging.

I have heard that Intuity Audix won't be sold much longer.

For those of you who have gone from an Intuity to the modular messaging I would appreciate some of the pros and cons that you experienced.

I haven't gone from one to another, but I think that if U have a 4.4 that is connected by x.25, U have one of the most reliable connections for a link to voicemail. And I was told MM is on two PC s and so it so less reliable than Intuitys. The newer Intuitys are connected usually by LAN, and I worked on hundreds, maybe thousands of Intuitys over 8 years, and x.25 is much more reliable than Lan connections.
A lot of people go to newer systems to get a feature they want, but believe me over 90% of your people use more than 1%of the features available on your system. I worked at AVaya for 10 years and I was the only one that I every saw use the speed dial, call park, or any other feature on the phone or voicemail.
I actually would love if you and everyone else would upgrade your system so my Avaya stock would go up to a point that I could sell it, but I am not going to lie to get you to do that.

I believe the MM is just as reliable as Audix is. You have a Message Application server and a Message Storage Server. If the message storage server goes down the MAS can still receive messages and save them for you.

I have left Audix from my last job and now with MM and I think for administration MM is better then Audix because it is web based and a lot easier to understand.
