Intsalling a DataBase on Apache

Hi everybody i just started making my first e-commerce website using ASP, I have apache webserver and ASP modules installed on my computer, but what i have no clue how to do is installing a database on my apache server on my computer at home. I appreciate if any body can help me with the procedure.

by the way i am trying to install microsoft access database and i am using microsoft windows XP professional.

If you haven't started yet, can I point you at

http://www.mysql.com

and

http://www.php.net

for infos on 2 things that hold hands when it comes to online databases.
Both work extremely well with apache and both will work more than happily with windoze.
Also there are vast amounts of online knowledge and forums for both, so if you don't know/ aren't sure there are lots of very nice people wiling to help.
