Hi again,

What is the duration of the INTRO,& ICND exams, is the single CCNA exam any longer. With subnetting will I need to convert to binary in any of the exams. [ponder]

I can convert to binary but it seems so long winded, I much prefer the magic number method in the CCNA INTRO exam certification guide by Wendell Odom.:)

YES YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW SUBNETTING !!!

I doubt you will see a simple converstion question, if you do you will jump for joy because it would be one of the easiest questions on the exam :)

Cisco tends to ask you multi-step questions and in finding the right answer you might have to convert an address but in most cases the subnet questions centered around troubleshooting and understanding which is the subnetwork, which is the node and which is the broadcast and with that information then understanding why 2 nodes can not communicate based on the ranges of the subnets!

See the other post on subnets posted this week - I put some good information in there !

Hope this helps!
