I have another post on here about this and Tipster was helping me out, we are out of ideas. Any thoughts on what im missing?

IPO 8.1.69
UC Module 8.1.98

Contact store running on xp pro
SolarWinds SFTP/SCP Server

I can log into the UC Module at root and manualy connect to the SFTP server
sftp password@sftpIPaddress

When going to the vmpro client > Administration > Prefrences > Genreral > Voicemail recordings.
I set up:
FTP User name = username created in SFTP server
FTP password = password created in SFTP server
Remote FTP Location = C:\VRLDir have also tried \VRLDir
Remote Host = ip address of SFTP server

im stuck, appreciate any help

Just try VRLdir

What do you want to achieve?

Contact store to UC vm pro, when trying to set up the recording tab in the vm pro client it fails the test connection

Your SFTP user...is its home path set to the vrl dir, or do you have a symlink to it?

In the SFTp Server i have it pointed to a folder named VRLDIR

Okay in that case, I would think the directory in remote ftp location would just be /

Have tried that:

/
C:/VRLDIR
VRLDIR

I am thinking its a syntax issue (or its just dosnt work, bug)

Isnt there something in the docs about using the ip address of the uc module and not 169.254.0.2 for ContactStore?
Applications server installation manual.

Can you browse to ftp://username:password@<ip address UCM>
If so can you upload a file to it? Then locate the file on the UCM with the command locate <filename>.
IP Adress should be the external address as used for the webmanager.

will try in the morning..

The thing that bothers me, i can log into the UC module as root

From the Cli....sftp sftpusername@192.168.200.4
promts for password and im connected to the sftp server from UC.

I am useing the exvtenal UC address.

I thought the whole resone for the new recording tab was to do away with the linux hoop...(i dont linux)

I was unable to FTP to the UC module, im not conviced im doing it correct
which username and password do i use....i tried root:password and Administrator:Administrator

when I read this thread title, I though Intrigrant was being asked questions about holdmusic... LOL. I'm reading, like WTH?

Try this.

Login as admin.
Type configure and enter the password Configure.
Type sharing and type wizard
Then you can configure a share which work much better.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I can get logged in as configure, but the Sharing under that is not an option

What is listed?
I am sure it should be there.

Do you have DNS servers populated in the UC card? That domain resolves fine to 194.109.6.91 for me.
