The installation of this version allots the entire first disk to SYS: volume and with current standards this could be upto 20-330 GB minimum.

Apparently there is an undocumented feature that allows:
- The ADMIN to delete the SYS" volume - while SERVER.exe is loaded,
- Then reallot space for SYS: (using LOAD INSTALL),
- Then reload SYS: from Install packages.

It doesn't work for me but the end user asserts that it was done by the previous DBA about 3 years back. (We are now going for disk upgrades).

Can anyone shed any light on this?

In the INSTALL utility, there is an option to install the netware files. This would acomplish what you are looking for.

Be sure to reapply patches and that your network and storage drivers are located on C:

And I hope you got a backup of data.
