Hope someone here can help

How do I set up my machine lets say [IT] to have a website named
it's fine that you can connect using the ip address but it's not the way I want it.

MCITP:EA/SA, MCSE, MCSA, MCDBA, MCTS, MCP+I, MCP

If the machine is going to reside on an internal network without the need to access it from the Internet, you will need to setup a DNS server with a ITHELPDESK.COM domain name and create a host entry (A) record for your webserver name and a CNAME entry (alias) called points back to your A (hostname) record. Add the DNS server IP added to your users IPCONFIG manually or via DHCP and they should be able to access it fine
