I am not sure if this is the best forum for this or not. I would appreciate any kind of direction or suggestions though.
I am looking for a search engine that I would be able to install on a server that would be capable of searching approximately 10 computers. I would simply like to be able to search these desktops for word docs, excel docs, etc...
Most of the solutions I have come across have been too robust for what seems to me a simple application.
I have only found one candidate so far that I think would work well. The Google Mini. The reviews I have seen of this are very positive. I continue to look though b/c it is $3,000 and I would like to look at other options.
I would appreciate any website links or any suggestions at all. Thank you in advance.
