Hi

I have been given the task of implementing an Intranet for our office.

All is fine I have about 25 pages of different relevant information which is being accessed daily by about 40 employees.

At the moment it is just a reference intranet I would like to convert it to an Interactive one witha message board. My database skills are non existent. Is there a message baord that can easily be donwloaded and hosted locally.

Also I have a few Mail to: links using just the name of the employee as it appears in the outlook address book

ie John Doe

however when you click on the link it brings up the following in Outlook

John%20Doe

How can you get it to recognise the sapce

Thanks for any help

You will have to use the actual email address. Outlook will convert this to the name you usually see for any address stored on the address book. We do the same on our intranet. DeZiner

You could do it with ASP ok you'll need a database but hey it's the fastest way (i think)

What you'll need is a login page (so you're sure about who's posting what)

ie.: John Doe password: abc123
and so on

Then the rest is pretty easy just add in the database whatever they write...

Have Fun...

Try this site. It has a free chat room and message board type of thing. I'm pretty sure the scripts are in perl but perl is free to load onto your server !
