Interrupting a Cobol application 2

I'm using FJ Cobol on a Win NT/2000 platform. When I start a batch application from a command window, I can't seem to interrupt it or stop execution without cancelling the process from Task Manager. Have I compiled the application incorrectly?

You need to periodically process your application "Events".
