when i try to enter my webaccess site, the site never loads. normally, i get a request to continue even if the security certificate is valid. what are the proper settings for internet explorer v7? sorry if this isn't making sense. any help would be great!
IE7 prompts differently than IE6 If your looking for the pop up box to happen, it will never happen, IE doesn't do that anymore.
IE7 (and soon IE8 users) are just feeling the pain MS has had to endure from security flaw criticisms.
IE6 told you the certificate was not from a trusted authority, and that the name did not match, only really gave you problems if the cert was expired. But just said "eh, what ever ... you wana visit the site or not?" Did this all with a pop up box.
IE7 gives you a page that appears to be a site loading issue that tells you there was a mismatch of some kind with the cert ... ABORT ABORT ABORT!!!! no pop up box, just something that looks like a web page load failure. Just click the link that will have you go to the page anyway. It's red, and has the words NOT RECOMMENDED at the end.
