Ok, I am fixing my friends comp. He has an internet connection problem. The thing is that he is connected but nothing will show up. I got rid of his Spyware, no viruses (latest definitions). He has way too much activity for nothing to show up. It is like someone hijacked his comp and is denying servce for him. Any ideas on what I can do?

Is he getting an IP address ?
Can you ping the gateway or other IP addresses you can ping from another computer ?
Is he running any kind of firewall ?
