I'm not sure what the problem is. 3 computers in my home, 2 desktops, and 1 laptop. All running windows xp. Internet is roadrunner high speed. We have a D-link router I-604 B model. A week ago all 3 computers, when surfing the internet, would have problems connecting at times. Say you're surfing google.com and click a link, it would say server not found. Or sometimes when you tried to go to google it would say not found, so you hit enter to try again and it would work.
this is still going on.
Now after trying to update my ethernet driver from microsoft, I couldn't connect at all, ended up formatting the pc (for other reasons too) and re-installed XP, and it still will not access the internet. It says it connected, and the dhcp is fine, but I can tell it is not. Like the subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0, but it lists 255.255.0.0
I've tried resetting & unplugging the router and that was a no-go. I updated the firmware to the newest (2003) firmware, and that hasn't helped eathier.
Does anyone have any idea of how I could try to fix this or what the problem may be?
Thanks alot!
