Can anybody please advise me, I have a small network set-up with a Windows 2000 Advanced Server, and there is a PC running Windows XP connected to it, the Windows XP PC has the internet connection, however I’m unsure to how to allow the Windows 2000 access to the internet on the XP PC.

Regards,

Joanne

Enabling ICS on a 2000/XP machine pretty much turns it into a DHCP server too, handing out 192.168.1.x IP's. So you should be able to put your 2000 box on DHCP, which should pick up an IP. Then in your IE setttings, under Tools->Options->Connection, set the proxy to 192.168.1.1 and port to 80 and you should be good to go.
