if i have one computer connected to the net and another connected with it is there a way in can share the internet connection with the internet-connected without any sort of software like ICS, etc.

My PCs have static provate IPs and i connect the first PC to the internet with a dialup modem

You could ebay a 200 or 300 series webramp, that would share a dial up connection between computers with no software.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

thanks but is there any way like settings some persistent route on the machines using the route ADD command or something?

Is there a reason that you want to do it without software like ICS?

Even though the machines are connected, you need some sort of routing daemon running on the Internet connected machine. That is part of what ICS offers you.
