Hello!

I have a small business network with windows 2000 server and also a ADSL internet connection.

The server is also a workstation and because of it, there's always someone logging in and out. To connect to the internet I need to dial-up a connection, and each time someone logs-out the internet goes off.

But that's not the major problem. If someone is browsing at the internet in another computer, there's a good chance that when you try to reconnect, there is an error about the dial-up call being already made, and we have to restart the server and all the computers.

How can I have a dial-up connection to the adsl account when there is no one logged in? Is it possible?

If not what should I do to stop having that error?

Thank you very much!

Get a dsl router and configure it as a gateway. the router will connect to the adsl internet connection and handle NAT. configure every client to connect to the router as their gateway.
