I have this router:
Recently I upgraded my connect through my ISP (Time Warner) from the standard 10Mbps to 15Mbps. Before the switch, I had absolutely no trouble connecting to the Wireless network. I have 1 computer wired to the router, and then 3 Computers and a PS3 connecting wirelessly.
The symptoms are the issue:
If the computers/PS3 are turned off or go to sleep and then try to reconnect to the router, they will be unable to connect, even though the computers recognize the SSID broadcast. This happens with my Mac Laptop, and 2 PC laptops, and the PS3. All the same symptoms... The only way to get them to reconnect is to uplug the router and then plug it back in after a few seconds. This is happening every day because all the machines are used.
It wouldn't really bother me but I never had a problem stay connected before, even if one of my computers/PS3 went into standby/sleep. All I would do is wake them and they would be automatically reconnected.
I haven't changed any of the router's settings, and I am positive it only started happening since the internet upgrade. I have tried restarting my modem as well.
I am beginning to wonder if the router has a maximum compacity for data and after a certain point it just becomes overloaded or something. If it is worth mentioning, during this entire ordeal, the wired computers all work, and do not lose connectivity (unless of course, I have to uplug the router). So wired computers do not lose the connectivity even if they get turned off or go to sleep.
Any ideas?
