Internet Security 2005 CD Read Problem

Dear all,

I have a user who runs Windows XP, and has SP2 installed, he has just installed Norton Internet Security 2005 and after the setup is complete he is unable to read CD's. He can see the drives but cannot read them??

Can anyone rectify this problem?

Hi All

I have the same problem that Leigh has O/S Win XP with sp2 installed and after installing Norton Internet Security 2005 can see all the drives but can not read from either of my cd drives.

I was rebuilding a friends pc last week and all went well until i installed internet security 2005. Setup never even completed and although it was added in the add/remove programs group I could not remove it. Now that u have mentioned it, the pc was no longer able to read cdroms either. I ended up just reinstalling again. It was no big deal since I created an image. Hopefully someone knows an answer.

Hi guys,

I managed to solve the problem, it was a conflict between "NERO" burning software, I upgraded the burning software and Internet Security works fine now.
