Internet Problem

I have a computer running XP and up until a few days ago I could connect to the internet with no problems now, when i connect to the internet I get the page could not be displayed error. The PC is dialling up the internet and I am connecting to the server but I can't open any web sites. I can update my anti virus software no problem which proves I am connected to the internet but I cant see any pages.

Any ideas?

Have you installed anything (new NIC board - new software)that would change your proxy settings?
