Internet problem!

Hi to everyone i'm new here and i have a problem on my win98 se.
Hi have a 8MB Cable internet connection but, i can't stay more than 45m/1h on internet then my connections falls and i have to reboot my PC to have internet again!
Can someone tell me whats the problem?
The modem is new, i think is from the os...

I had same kinda problem got a new modem and problem is gone. You said that when you reboot you get a connection again so i would suggest the following:


1.start>Run type winipcfg and then try and release and renew your ip address it might get your internet working again without reboot.

2. Change your network card

Could be the cable modem. I had one that kept giving me fits. Changed the modem and everything fine. Since I had more than 1 pc connected, it made it easier. Have you tried another pc?
