I'm one of the more cynical people described in the article. I think marketing departments have latched on the IoT as the latest greatest buzzword. I agree with that author that connectivity, security, and privacy have a LONG WAY TO GO before IoT grows to, as mentioned in the article, $4 trillion over the next 10 years. imho, that's a lot of wishful thinking.
