internet lag

I'm having a problem with both IE and Netscape. Although my ping times and bandwith speed tests are great, I get serious lag when loading pages. I've tried updating the registry several different ways to no avail. I'm running Win982e on a 600 mhz PIII. I have Comcast HSI as a isp and on my home network both of my older slower machines have no problem. Please help.

I had the same problem with Sympatico HSE. What I did was delete enternet and install RASPPPoE instead. That solved the lag and even increased my speed... However, the problems are now slowly coming back...
