Internet Explorer Won't Open

I have a client workstation on my network and when the Internet Explorer icon is clicked, nothing happens. I have tried actually clicking the associated program (iexplorer.exe) - and still nothing happens. But, when the user goes into my computer, a web site can be typed in the address bar and the internet can be accessed. I have checked everything that I can think of.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Try using a monitoring tool such as Filemon and Regmon (

http://www.sysinternals.com)

to see what is going on in the background. You may get some clues as to why the program is not opening.
