Internet Explorer 6 will not launch when I try to open it. I have read thread608-874786, but to no avail. I've updated and ran my anti-virus software, Ad-Aware, and Spy-Bot and I'm pretty confident that my pc is clean. Initially, when the problem started, I could open Windows Explorer and browse with it. Now, any attempts to browse with Windows Explorer result in a 404 Page not found error. Everything works fine when I boot the computer in safe mode w/network support. I've tried to locate the problem by isolating programs from the msconfig startup group and individual processes from task manager. Still no luck. What next?

Thanks in advance!

Try to run a ping on You will get an IP address put no replies. As soon as the ping is complete try to open Yahoo. If you do not get an IP address contact your ISP provider and see if there are any issues.

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.

I'll try this when I get home this evening, but I really doubt it a problem with my ISP. My email, anti-virus updates, weatherbug, and other internet application still work fine. Also, Internet Explorer itself works in Safe Mode w/network support. Thanks.
