Internet Explorer Toolbar

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows how to write a toolbar extension for Internet Explorer? For example, like the Google toolbar (

http://toolbar.google.com/).

Is this an ActiveX control or what? Anyone have any good references on how to do this or any good information in general?

it is ActiveX plugin for internet explorer. Search in google and you will find a lot of information on how to write it.
