Internet Explorer resizing on opening

This isn't a major issue but is rather annoying. Whenever I open a link directly to a webpage from a shortcut on my desktop, the page opens in a resized window that is only half the screen size. I always have to maximize it after opening it. When opening just Internet Explorer icon, it maximizes on it's own.

Is there any type of registry setting that auto-maximizes IE on starting it, even from a shortcut to a website? I'm running Win98SE

Right click the shortcut left click properties and look for run maximize window setting
