I push out Internet Explorer patches via SMS and I am wondering if there is a way to not have the "Restart Now, Y/N dialogue box appear or have it be canceled. I once heard something about using a installer wrapper and in a script have it click the cancel button itself.

The problem is this: If a person chooses to restart now and they do that before the application sends a success response to the SMS server, next time the user logs in it starts the update again. SMS apparently thinks it failed the previous time or never ran. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I found the answer to my question earlier in case anyone else was wondering.

"patchname".exe /r:n /q

This will install the patch in quiet mode and not display the message about the computer needing to restart.
