internet explorer links toolbar freezes

I have a user whose links toolbar freezes the browser when you click on the >> arrow to expand the list... however, when you go to the menu: favorites, and access the links folder from there IE doesn't have any problems displaying the bookmarks included in this folder. I have tried updating IE but this problem still exists. It would eventually show the links contents, but after a LONG long time. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Start, Run, cmd
regsvr32 urlmon.dll

Accept the registration and then reboot and test. If still no joy, run MS-MVP Ramesh's IEFIX:
