I am developing a company intranet and I have a web page that gets pdf file names from a folder and then when the user clicks the file name it opens up the PDF in a new window On my machine what is happening is that once the new window is open and the PDF is displayed if I then close that window then I get an error message saying that Internet Exploer has encountered a problem with an add on and will close down the add on is the ActiveX control for acrobat.

Does anyone know a way to solve this. I have uninstalled IE and re-installed I have also run sfc /scannow without any success
