Similar to past posts, I'm having problems with google links redirecting me to other sites. Running various virus and spyware scans has yielded no results. Any help appreciated.

Here is my hijackthis.log

Download avg anti spyware from the link below and set it to delete anything it finds

(be sure it says avg anti spyware)

Download ccleaner from the link below (if you have nero uncheck it in the programs list on ccleaner)

(download latest version on the right top in the green)

Download this registry cleaner

Run ccleaner first and empty out all temp garbage. Then run avg anti spyware and delete anything it finds. Then run the registry cleaner. Then post another logfile on here.

Your log looks clean now. Have you got ccleaner to work in safe mode?

Yes, ccleaner worked in safe mode. and once i used fixwareout, it worked during regular bootups as well. Looks like i had "downloader.agent.uj". Quite a tricky bugger to remove.

Yeah some can be a pain to remove. You should also disable and enable system restore to wipe out all the old backups that contain trojans and other stuff. This way you will have a fresh clean restore in case you ever need it.

Id run all scanners once again to ensure everything is gone.
