Internet Explorer/Favorites icon disappearing every startup!!!!

I am losing my favorites icon in Internet explorer 7
I have a Crystal XP software installed
I am running windows XP Pro SP2 with all updates installed.

I am thinking it's I.E.7 since this is still a beta program, but am not certain and would like a guiding light to see if this can be confirmed.

Anyone have any ideas it would be appreciated.

1. Click Start, click Run, type regsvr32 /i shdocvm.dll, and then click OK.
2. Click Start, click Run, type iexplore.exe, and then click OK.
3. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
4. On the Programs tab, click Manage Add-ons.
5. In the Manage Add-ons dialog box, click the Shell Namespace add-on.
6. In the Settings area, click Enable, and then click OK two times.
