internet explorer error

Hi all,

I have an application built using Visual Studio .Net 2005. I have compiled and installed this on a Windows 2003 Server machine. The clients used internet explorer version 6.0.2800.1106CD SP 1, to view this application. (Windows 2000 Professional SP 4)

They are getting the error "Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site "xxx". Operation aborted"

I have reseached this on the web and seems to be a borwser issue. Can you tell me what update should be installed. All their updates are controlled by an external company and not necessarily run as they come out.
