if possible, I really would appreciate some help with the following:

I've got a shared computer (Win XP) that is connected to B/band, all on one login. When IE loads, it has started linking to a file called 'secure.html' in the windows directory. Have tried resetting the homepage (it gets set back again), and deleting the secure.html file, but that just throws up a 'file not found' error. N.B The secure.html page further links to privacyoutpost.com.

PCCillin is running and I've tried AdAware and Spybot, but haven't got anywhere. Any suggestions?

HELP!! It's really annoying!

Thanks,

BFG

Steps #2 - #3 should sort the issue.
Be certain you are current with all AdAware and SpyBot definitions.

See the FAQ suggestion at the bottom to use Hijack This and post a log back here.

In addition to bcastner's suggestions, check that PC's hosts file and see if there's anything pointing to privacyoutpost.com

I've got the same problem when starting explorer I'm automatically redirected to privacyoutpost.
I tried solutions given below but that doesn't make any difference...

Do you know how to remove it?
Please
Thanks

Thank you but it still doesn't work!
Do I have no other choice that format my disk ???

You have System Restore disabled before running the four tools mentioned above?
