Apologies if this is the wrong forum. Don't know which ould be appropriate. Upon switching to Explorer 8 from Explorer 7 after much coaxing to do so I soon found it has bugs which I did not appreciate. Switched back Explorer 7 until more recently I found that certain websites [Google and Facebook included] found Explorer 7 "outdated". Leaving me forced to re-install Explorer 8 to tolerate its bugs.

A NEW bug is a "Message from Webpage: Stack overflow at line : 0" which conveys nothing at all to me.

What am I missing?

Unhgappily the solution proposed doos not solve my problem in that my Explorer 8 is already set as suggested. Having UN-slected the suggested option and RE-selting it made no difference.

This irritating "undocumented feature" persists. Which together with the [also irritating] freezing vertical slide "undocumented feature" in Explorer 8 is driving me to drink. A [supposed] "UP"grade to W-8 in order to accomodate an upgrade to Explorer 9 [whatever] simply isn't an option whilst XP-Prof works well.Being tired of mighty MS using users as beta-sites. Any suggestions .... anyone. Other change to FireFox.

Go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced and hit Reset and hit Reset a second time. Exit. Restart IE and see if it cures it

Avoid Hangovers. Stay drunk.

Thanks for that. To solve the problem I have switched to Firefox. Which I should probably have done long ago anyway.
