Everyone,

I can stop the password prompting for IE7 when opening a file in Sharepoint, but has anyone figured out how to stop the prompting of passwords when opening files in IE7?

What Operating System?
What version of Office?

There is a known issue with Vista / IE7 / Office 2007 that is "fixed" in Vista SP1 but requires a registry hack.

Also, make sure that the SharePoint site is set as a trusted site, or that the Zone it is in has the setting of Automatically Logon with Current User name and Password enabled. (Tools - Internet Options - Security - Trusted Sites - Custom - All the way at the bottom "Automatically logon with current user name and password"
