Internet Explorer 6 download

As far as I know MS do not provide a download for the IE6 application without the need for a Internet Connection.
However there is a way you can create it yourself.
1) Create a Folder on your HD named IE6
2) Download the IE6 Setup file from
3) Save it to your IE6 folder
4) Click on Start > Click on Run > Copy and Paste the text below inc quotation marks
"c:\ie6\ie6setup.exe" /c:"ie6wzd.exe /d /s:""#E"
5)Accept the licence agreement.
6) Select Which operating systems you wish to download the IE6 files for.
7) Wait for the download to complete - You now have a IE6 Setup Package.

Many of the CD's attached to Computer Magazines have IE full version included in the browser section. That option may require you to change the home page after installation.

o Refreshes Internet Explorer using IE.INF method. (Optional)
o For Windows 2000/XP: Initiates "SFC /Scannow". (Optional)
o Repairs two important registry keys which are required to set Internet Explorer as the default browser
You need to change the IsInstalled registry value to "0" before running IE Setup. To change the value to 0, click the button For Windows XP, click here to enable reinstallation of Internet Explorer.
