Frequently upon opening a web page Internet Explorer 6 will display and area window that says,

"A Runtime Error has occurred.
Do you wish to Debug?

Line: 1
Error: Invalid Character"

A URL where this frequently occurs is
I suspect that the scripting for individual Web sites causes this problem and that until the scripting for those Web sites has been emended I will just have to accept annoying problem.

You are probably right...

Do you use a "pop-up" stopper?

Try this to remove message from appearing.

1. Click on the "Tools" menu at the top of Internet Explorer.
2. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
3. Put a checkmark in the "Disable script debugging" box.
4. You must close all your Internet Explorers for this setting to take affect. smitee

I definately go with smitee's suggestion.

Could be bad coding in the page, though.

I noticed Page Not Found immediately upon inputting the address, although the page did come up. STRANGE.
