Please shoot me if this has been asked; I couldn't find it using search.

Whenever IE 5 or IE 6 is started on a particular computer here, it will freeze after loading one or two sites. These sites are not anything in particular; no matter what site you try to visit, it will freeze up after one or two sites. I have tried upgrading from IE 5 to IE 6 to no avail. All the IE updates have been installed on this machine. It's impossible to uninstall IE, because it is so essential to the operating system, so a reinstall really isn't possible either.

System info:
Win 2000 SP3
256MB RAM
20.0GB HD space free
uses LAN connection to access internet

Any tips or links would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Chris
