We can access our Notes E-Mail either by client software OR the inTERnet. Advantage of the internet is that I can log into my Notes Mail from anywhere.
Currently, no one can get into their internet e-mail because of the following error message:
"Exception Class: com.novosec.net.reverseproxy.HTTPConnectException
Message: HTTP Error (500) while accessing URL: LocalizedMessage: HTTP Error (500) while accessing URL: Operated by Messaging & Collaboration Services"
Does this have to do with the names.nsf file? If it corrupt?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your help.

This problem is occurring in several of our branch offices in different countries. Our host country has updated some parts of Notes to 6.5. We are still running 5.0.11. Could that be a problem? Thanks for any help you can give.

Hello,

We use external Web Mail too. I took a very basiuc approach and searched for an A record assigned to your URL. Didn't find it? Could be a DNS issue. What should the host below resolve too? You can substitute the hostname portion of the URL with the Public IP to test your Firewall and Notes server. Hope this helps.

us-lm09.symrise.cns

Thanks for the feedback. The url is suppose to have US-LN01, not US-LM09. Not sure how that got in the message.

Hello,

Tried "us-ln01.symrise.cns" as well. No dice. Did you try via IP? What should it be resolving to?

Answer:
No A records exist for us-ln01.symrise.cns. [Neg TTL=86400 seconds]

Rgds,

I did several things, but not sure which one helped. I deleted the Directory Assistance Database. This was a database that we did not need. I then removed the name from the Server Document on the US-LN01 server. I replicated our Monitoring Configuration Database (event4.nsf) to US-LN01 from the main server, and created a Monitoring Results Database (statrep.nsf) on US-LN01. There were some tasks missing from the Notes.ini File, the Events, Stats, and Update Tasks, which I added back. Finally, I re-booted the Notes server. Now everything is working again.

Glad to hear your problem is resolved.

John
