Any ideas what to look for when the Internet disconnects after so long? I think from memory there might be a setting on the modem but not sure?

Most ISPs, mine included, have a setting that disconnects inactive calls after a period - such as 10 minutes. This helps to free the modem ports for other, active users to login.

I agree with thedaver. Most likely your ISP is dropping you after a pre-determined time of inactivity. Nothing you can set on the modem to make your ISP keep your connection up. Maybe you can run a continuous ping or something to keep your session alive.
