Hi all,

Need some urgent advice on this one.

I have a brand new HP ML110 G5 Server with SBS 2003 R2 which includes SP2 for 2k3 and SP1 for Exchange.

I do a brand new installation, install chipset drivers and VGA drivers and then start configuring SBS.

I can't get the Internet Connection Wizard to successfully work. It always fails when configuring email.

I have checked the SBS log and basically it is failing with this error:

CEMailCommit 0x80070003

I have tried installing SP2 for Exchange and done multiple reboots without success.

All ideas are appreciated, please remember this is a brand new install to AV issues, System Restores and Windows Updates do not apply.

Thanks.

Is there a firewall between the SBS box & the Internet connection? What is the NIC configuration (1 or 2)? Can you get to the Internet at all?

Hi,

No there is no firewall between the SBS box and Internet. The SBS box connects directly into the back of the router as it is only a small site.

The NIC Configuration is 1 only.

The bizarre thing is, Internet works fine and so does email.

If I reboot the server though it comes up with the warning again that I haven't setup my Internet connection, even though I can surf the Internet??!!!

Really bizarre, any ideas?

Thanks.

My favorite saying:

When in doot...REBOOT!

or

Before you explode...RELOAD!

Glad you got it sorted!
