Internet Connection Wizard Disabled 1

When I try to run the Connection Wizard, I get a warning box that I'm not authorized to run the Connection Wizard and to contact my System Administrator. In Internet Options>>Connections>>Setup, The setup tab is grayed out. I must have done a tip I found on the net to disable this a long time ago, but I can't find it now. How do I enable the Internet Connection Wizard. This is my home computer. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....."

Go to Start>run and type Regedit
Press enter
Navigate to:\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel
Look in the right hand pane for this entry
Connwiz Admin Lock
If you find it. Delete it.

By the way do you know how to get rid of the network login screen for my home network? i don't need it password protected. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....."

Glad to hear that worked.

About the login issue:

Go to Control Panel/Passwords/User Profiles. Check 'All users use the same
settings'.
Do not reboot at this point.

Now go to ControlPanel/Network.
Choose Windows Logon as Primary Login.

Open system.ini, and delete all lines in the
[Password Lists] section, if there are any.

No joy?

Go to Start/Find/Files or Folders, and type *.pwl in the 'named' field.
Delete the files with the *.pwl extension that come up.

Now reboot
You should now get the login box. Type your name and leave the password field blank.
Click OK.

If still no joy, try this:

Copy the bold to Notepad, save as Logon.reg, and doubleclick.
Answer 'yes' if you're asked whether you'd like to merge the data into the REgistry.
