I have a wireless connection running using Xp as the host and 98se the client.
The network is running fine with both machines able to see each other and swap files etc.
However I cant get the client to share the internet connection.

I know that the set up on the host machione (Xp) is ok.

The client computer running 98se will also not ping reporting it is "unable to initialise Windows Socket interface, socket error code 6".
I have been through the process of removing and reinstalling dial up networking and upgraded dial up network (dun14-se).
I have also removed Winsock2 from the registry and re-installed it from the installation disc.

There are no active firewalls running
IE version on client is 6.0.2600.0000

Please can anyone suggest a solution?

Tried all the suggestions I could find from the link kindly suggested by bcastner. But with no success.

Decided to re-install 98se again on the client computer again (for the sixth time).

Its all working now!

What it was all about I cant say but thank for the help.
I will try to help oneof you if I ever can.

Good luck to you all
