Internet connection problem with, Netgear NIC and DLink Route

I have a Dell Laptop with a WAB501 Netgear Wireless NIC. I normally use the utility to setup my profiles and configure my wireless connections and I have quite a few. One connection in particular I have trouble with. This connection is with a D-Link router/Switch/Wireless AP. I never have any trouble connecting to it, but when I connect to it with my laptop my internet connection continutally drops me, the connection never drops but my internet seems to quite often. Just before writing this post I discovered that it seems to do it less when I switch to the windows wireless client. I also have no problem at all when I connect directly to the switch with a wire. My next step is to update my Netgear wireless client but I wanted to post andsee if anyone had any other ideas about what could have possible been the problem.
